About Our Coverage Area
All of our work is performed by PowerPlus Electric employees — not subcontractors. We operate out of West Haven, which puts us within 30 minutes of most jobs in New Haven County and within 45 minutes of most of Fairfield County. For emergency calls (7AM–11PM, 7 days a week), we target a one-hour on-site response across the entire service area, with no overtime surcharge.
Permits & Inspections: PowerPlus handles all permit applications with the local building authority in each municipality. Electrical work is inspected by a town building official before final sign-off — this is required in all CT municipalities and protects your insurance coverage and home value.
Utility Coordination: For panel upgrades, we coordinate service disconnection and reconnection with your utility — United Illuminating (UI), Eversource Energy, or Wallingford Electric Division depending on your address. We handle this for you; you don't need to call the utility separately.
