Connecticut's Licensed Residential Electrician
PowerPlus Electric handles the full scope of residential electrical work for homeowners across Fairfield and New Haven Counties. Whether you need a panel upgraded, an EV charger wired, a generator transfer switch installed, or same-day emergency service — we're the crew you call.
Our license is CT E1 #197810. Jobs that require permits — panel upgrades, rewires, new circuits, EV chargers, generator hookups — are permitted and inspected. We handle the applications and scheduling. All work carries a one-year labor warranty. We serve 35 cities with same-day and next-day availability for most services, and emergency response 7AM–11PM, 7 days a week.
What Makes Us Different
PowerPlus is a small licensed electrical contractor — not a large corporation routing calls through a dispatch center. When you call (203) 747-5335, you reach us directly. Scott has been running the company since 2004 with a consistent crew that knows Fairfield and New Haven County housing inside and out.
Permits & Inspections — We Handle It
When a permit is required — panel upgrades, new circuit runs, rewires, generator hookups, EV charger installations — we handle the permit application and inspection scheduling with your local building department. You don't call the town, you don't schedule the inspector, you don't deal with the utility for disconnection and reconnection. We handle it as part of the job.
Pricing
Free estimates on all jobs. Pricing depends on scope, panel condition, circuit run distance, and materials. We give you an honest number before work begins — no surprise invoices. For standard jobs like panel upgrades and EV charger installation, we can typically provide a firm quote over the phone or after a brief site visit.
Emergency Service — No Overtime Charge
Electrical emergencies don't wait for a convenient time. PowerPlus responds to emergency calls 7AM–11PM, 7 days a week, across all 35 service area cities. We target approximately one hour on-site response. There is no overtime surcharge — the same rate applies whether you call at noon on a Monday or 10 PM on a Sunday.
